So why July you may ask? Because it is during the monsoons the spectacular waterfalls of Meghalaya are in full bloom. Because it is in these months of monsoons, the nature wraps itself in all the possible hues of green and blue that you can think of . We have curated the tour in such a way that you get to experience Meghalaya like never before . So you walk into the silence of the Mawphalng sacred forest and hear the tales of ancient rituals and the lores of the diety surrounding the forest and the same day you visit the beautiful two tiered Elephant waterfalls. And the day gets even more exciting when you saunter into the verdure Laitlum canyons, a place where the rolling hills kiss the sky. Laitlum is for the undying lover in you, the staunch romantic in you. On one moment you walk through the clouds, the next moment they disappear and you can see the ribbon like river flowing much below, its waters holding the colour of the sky and the sun. And when we are in Meghalaya, how can we not visit the Mawsmai caves OR the Arwah caves, famous for it’s rich deposit of fossils , the flowing water, dark areas, narrow pathways, slippery areas, stalactites and stalagmites which formed over thousands of years ? The caves bring out the explorer in you. For the adventurer hidden in you, we definitely have the Double Decker Living Root bridge hike at Nongriat. You can take a dip in the pool under the waterfall or soak your tired feet and feel rejuvenated. The entire Meghalaya experience will not be complete if we don’t spend a night in Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. So we have one stay in Mawlynnong too. And the next day we head towards the magical Krang Suri and Phe phe waterfalls. Cut off from the tourist circuit these two waterfalls are the hidden gems of Meghalaya. And you will be glad you visited both of them. So what are you waiting for? Pack your travel bags and let’s chalo !!
Our October plans are a little different and we go to a few different places in October. Check out the itinerary for October.

THINGS TO TAKE
Take any clothes you want to, just keep in mind that July is monsoon times so the weather is going to be a bit on the humid side, at places. Take clothes made of breathable fabric. There will also be some good amount of walking in the Sacred Forest and the waterfalls and the Double Decker Living Root bridge hike, so it will be a good idea to wear hiking pants or hiking shorts on those days. Try to ditch fancy shoes with heels. A pair of sneakers with good grip or a pair of hiking boots are ideal for this trip since the trip involves some amount of walking , some amount of hiking , slippery surfaces etc. Keep a couple of ORS sachets with you, a couple of band aids, some emergency snack packets, and you are good to go. And please please do not forget to pack in a rainproof. Rain jackets, ponchos are best. Otherwise you can take umbrellas too. For taking a dip in the pool at Krang Suri pack in your swimwears.
If you are in the October batch, keep a lightweight sweater/fleece jacket too and pack the rainproof as well.
